Don’t say hard work sucks, don’t say math suck. You’re prizing a certain kind of insouciance again in a way I find problematic. And even if you’re joking, I don’t know man, maybe I’ve just passed beyond the veil of jokes and exist in a…

In The Avengers: “My job, during three or four months was to get out of bed and grow inside me an incredible amount of negative feelings. It’s fun to play a person who is far from me. And there’s always a large degree of freedom because the villain does not have a strict moral. You can be inspired by a kind of wild state. But on the other hand, the negative energy is exhausting (…) can be psychologically fascinating, but exhausting.”

s ometimes you guys really romanticize reading to an extreme

this is really important
every couple months someone posts a thing about Zizek and then someone else posts a thing that’s like “BUT DONT DIZMISS HIM!!1!” and then a couple people post a nuanced thing about how we should not completely dismiss the bad stuff ppl do or say but should also be more interested in what we can do (or not do) with their work and then everyone forgets bout it and then some weeks pass and the cycle starts all over again.
yeah. and i’m just fucking TIRED of zizek. why the fuck do so many discussions of theory on tumblr involve zizek? like yeah he has some good ideas like ANY THEORIST but he’s really fucking unimportant and mediocre compared to so many other people that never get talked about. plus he’s problematic as fuck as a person which is actually a big deal because he is ONLY POPULAR BECAUSE HE IS A PUBLIC FIGURE.
im really fucking tired of talking about zizek.
art is so important
art is trash and I wouldn’t have it any other way
